Polymath Creative Director

As a title, it’s a mouthful. As a self-description, it’s spot on.

I‘m a creative director and copywriter who landed in the world of advertising through a series of happy accidents. At 18 years old, I had big plans to be a captain in the maritime industry. (I have transcripts from the Texas Maritime Academy to prove it.) Luckily, a hard pivot sent me down an entirely different path. Along the way, I ran music festivals, produced freelance content for HGTV, and even had my work shared by Martha Stewart on IG (for real) before joining my first agency as a copywriter. It turns out you actually can make a living doing creative stuff (my dad still isn’t buying it) so despite the lack of a traditional agency pedigree, I’ve been making fun stuff for brands ever since.

A few fun facts on the personal side:

  • I won my husband over on our second date with my welding skills.

  • I taught my kid how to ride a dirtbike during COVID lockdown.

  • I hand-painted a 30-foot mural of a BMW 2002 on the back wall of the auto shop my husband and I own that got a nod of approval from Aaron Draplin.

  • Between the garden that keeps doubling in size and the small batches of maple syrup we boil each spring, we like to pretend we’re farmers.
